Mental and emotional wellbeing is as crucial to a healthy life as physical wellness. At Acorn Pediatrics, we treat the whole patient. Our commitment to building relationships with patients and families helps us improve mental health outcomes.
Whether it’s a major life change or an unexpected change in a child’s outlook and behavior, no one is too young to experience mental health challenges. All of our well-child checkups and yearly physicals include mental health discussions with parents. When the child is old enough, we also perform screenings. Our practice is a safe place where patients and families alike feel heard and validated.
If you’re concerned about a change in your child’s behavior, emotional wellbeing, or mental health, we offer consultations. Kids and teens can have anxiety, depression, eating disorders, substance use disorders, and other challenges that adults experience, but they often show it in different ways. We’re happy to talk through whatever you and your child are experiencing, and we’ll work with the whole family to develop the best course of action.
