Acorn Pediatrics is not your average pediatric practice. At the heart of everything we do is the relationship we build with each child and their family. We believe that empathy, teamwork and trust isn’t just the best way to do business; it creates better health outcomes for your child.

Our practice was founded by Drs. Scott and Alex Iwashyna. With Scott's years of experience taking care of children across Richmond combined with Alex's business acumen, the Iwashynas set out to provide Central Virginia families with the sort of care they’d want for their kids. Acorn Pediatrics is a small practice with two dedicated providers, Dr. Scott Iwashyna, MD and Jackie Falls, nurse practitioner and lactation consultant, and we think this makes all the difference. In an intimate office like ours, we can take the time to get to know your family – and you can get to know us and trust we are here for you and your children.

Our providers deliver expert, personalized, patient-centered care for every stage of childhood, from birth through young adulthood. We see ourselves as a member of your family’s team. Our goal is to empower families through education, support, and advice allowing families to take charge of their children’s health and for children to become strong health advocates for life. In addition to preventative care and sick visits, we offer medication management, chronic illness management and mental health care.
